David Alatorre

Chief Technical Officer

David Alatorre

David is CTO at Rivelin and leads technology strategy across robotics software, control, UX, machine learning and product architecture. He holds a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Nottingham.

Before joining Rivelin as its second employee, David was a Rolls-Royce UTC research fellow. He has authored IEEE publications and patents in robotic machining and continuum robotics, and contributed to multiple Innovate UK projects. At Rivelin, he turns robotics research into production-ready industrial software.

Robert Bush

CEO Founder

Robert Bush

Robert is founder and CEO of Rivelin Robotics. He holds an MEng from Imperial College London, studied at Bristol Robotics Laboratory, and previously worked in strategy and finance with Strategy&/PwC and EY.

Since founding Rivelin, Robert has led the company from concept to multi-million-pound revenue, export customers and strategic partnerships. He oversees fundraising, commercial strategy, governance and the transition from early traction to scalable industrial robotics company.

Nicol Carter

Chief of Staff & Finance

Nicol Carter

Nicol leads Chief of Staff and finance operations at Rivelin. She has nine years’ experience across UK, US and South African corporate and SME environments, covering executive support, operations and finance.

She holds a BBA in Business Administration and manages financial control, forecasting, reporting and operational cadence. Her role gives Rivelin financial visibility, governance support and execution discipline as the company scales.

Chris Harland

Chief Operating Officer

Chris Harland

Chris leads commercialisation, customer delivery and production scaling at Rivelin. He brings over 20 years’ aerospace leadership experience from Airbus and Safran, including A350 wing and landing-gear programmes and a €3.2bn CapEx portfolio.

With an aeronautical engineering background and MBA from Cranfield, Chris combines programme, customer and operational leadership. At Rivelin, he scales the commercial organisation, customer success and repeatable production-grade delivery.

Conor Nichols

Hardware Automation Lead

Conor Nichols

Conor leads automation and integration at Rivelin, focused on electrical & control systems, ensuring tight integration between the physical systems and NetShape software. His focus is on ensuring safe operation whilst maximising performance and flexibility. He holds an BEng in Mechatronics and Robotics from the University of Sheffield.

David Powell

Software Calibration Lead

David Powell

David leads software calibration at Rivelin, covering core software, calibration systems, vision, signal processing and engineering delivery. He holds an MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

Before Rivelin, David worked at IQVIA and Sagentia, developing C++ and Python software across NLP, medical devices, signal processing, computer vision and machine learning. At Rivelin, he strengthens software architecture, testing infrastructure and industrial reliability.

Mark Johnson

Software Robotics Lead

Mark Johnson

Mark leads robotics software at Rivelin, focused on algorithms, optimisation, numerical methods and autonomous robotic process generation. He holds a PhD in Computational Physics from the University of Cambridge.

His work spans C++, Python, scientific computing, simulation and system optimisation. At Rivelin, Mark leads robotics and machine-learning components for autonomous manufacturing and repeatable industrial performance.

David Mason

Hardware Chief Engineer

David Mason

Leads hardware engineering, tooling, fixturing, applications and productionisation. He is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with the IMechE and has Rolls-Royce experience across aerospace, submarines and additive manufacturing.

As Rivelin’s first employee, David helped build the company’s hardware capability and engineering culture. He ensures Rivelin’s robotic systems meet customer requirements, manufacturing standards and regulatory expectations.

Jake Kudiersky

Software Platform Lead

Jake Kudiersky

Jake is a former AWS Professional Services consultant and containers specialist with deep expertise in enterprise observability. Now at Rivelin, he leads the build-out of AI and security infrastructure, integrating AWS best practices with a focus on physical AI and deployments at scale.
