Separation of Additive-Layer Supports with Automation via 2-way digital twin

Title of the demonstrator SALSA2d: Separation of Additive Layer Support by Automation via 2-way Digital Twin This SME demonstration of the TRINITY project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 825196. Use Case and Module can be found on the TRINITY catalogue. Main Objective of the demonstrator This project aims to automate the support material removal post-processing step of additive manufactured components (specifically metal AM) by leveraging computer vision, robotic proprioception and simulation software.

RR Uncovered: David Mason

The first post in our new series “RR Uncovered” is to meet the A team’s very own 3D printing enthusiast David Mason. I am the Digital Manufacturing Engineer here at Rivelin Robotics. My engineering journey started in Sheffield where I completed a 5 year masters course in mechanical engineering and inevitably fell in love with the city and the Peak District. It was at University that my interest in additive manufacturing began through learning about the technologies and their uses.
